So, think you know your EL James from your CJ Sansom? Can you tell the difference between Roald Dahl and Rick Riordan?
Then why not pit your literary wits against others to compete for the team prize of “Mostly Bookbrain of the Year” - after the Booker Prize and the Costas, one of the most prized and hotly-competed-for books awards in the annual literary calendar.
We shall be hosting our annual charity literary quiz on Friday February 28th starting at 7.30pm - and once again The Manor School, Abingdon have kindly allowed us to use their hall. Tickets are available at £6 per person in advance (£7 on the door) and teams can be a maximum of eight people. As usual we expect a great deal of fun on the evening.
This year we will be raising money for Oasis Online, the Oxfordshire Autistic Society. Oasis are a friendly charity run by parent volunteers for those bringing up children and young adults on the Autistic Spectrum. They welcome all parents, carers and individuals and cater for all aspects of the spectrum, including classic Autism, Asperger’s Syndrome and other related conditions such as Sensory Processing Disorder and Developmental Delay.
Come as a team – but if you don’t have a team, don’t worry – teams will be formed on the night. There will be a bar, the infamous bookswap table - and is suitable for everyone from book lovers to people who love a good quiz!
Tickets are £6 in advance (or £7 on the door) and refreshments will be on sale.
